Left Behind

A Love Of Distance

To you my children I must speak

I do love you all so much

My love runs so deep

So much has happened in our lives

So much to list, so much to write

But our memories are from within

I love you, love you all

And the pain I feel some days is

Did I do right?

Did I do right?

Did I leave them behind?

I never want you to feel that way

I love you all so much

A mother’s love never quits

The smothering you may want

To hide from sometime

But a hug will always warm you

My love I give to you with all my heart

Life changes so much for us all

Sometimes so slow and sometimes so fast

We may not understand

But please oh please

Be known to you

I have not left you behind

You are all growing

From little boys and girls

To women and men

I hope I have shown you

With all my love

I have to give

I will always always love you

I will not leave you behind

The days of seeing me

Getting older in my life

You have all grown

Grown so tall in life

Please take with you

In your life’s journey

Something that was never put behind
