Robin's Realm

Wake Up

Wake up !

Wake up !

Wake up, they are all shouting at me

My friends here, my friends there

My family

Can’t you see what we see?

The misery?

The misery you are in

Held deep within yourself

Wake up

Wake up

I hear them faintly

I am still within my fantasy

Wake up

Wake up

We are here to help you

To hold you

To hug you

To give you words of encouragement

I can hear them through my tears

I can see them faintly through my confusion

Wake up

Wake up

You are lost within- lost with he/she

We want you to see

We want you to seek your own identity

I am trying I shout back

Just let me be

It is not like I can set the alarm clock

and bounce back

so quickly

Wait for me I say

I am coming

I am waking up

Wake up

Wake up

I am trying so hard

To get out of this fantasy which is really a nightmare

That I allowed myself to be pulled into

I want to wake up

I want to see

Don’t leave me I shout

Be there for me

Wake up

Wake up

Come to the dawn of the shining light

To see what is waiting for you

I want so bad to wake up

I want the shining light they call life

I want a new journey

But it is hard for me

Wake up

Wake up they say

Open your eyes

Open your heart

Find your own identity

Oh how bad I want that

To know who I am

What I truly want in life

I am coming I say

Slowly but surely

I will be there

Be there with you all

My friends and family

Wake up

Wake up

They say again

I am

I am coming to the light

To be with myself

To enjoy each waking moment

Instead of waking to drudgery

I want to wake to be happy

I will be there

Just don’t give up

Don’t worry

We will wait patiently

We will be there

All the steps of the way

Through the fog

Through the clouds

Until you finally

Wake up

And see for yourself

What great things life has to offer you

On your journey
