Doug is not a minister of any religion; he is not a psychiatrist; nor is he the
professor of
an Ivy League University. Rather, Doug is a Real-Live Human Being,
who has experienced first hand the adversity and trauma of surviving an alcoholic relationship. Consequently, Doug
is on a never-ending quest to draw out and learn the deeper lessons and meaning
of his experiences, and then pass these lessons on for the benefit of others,
which he does through Speaking, and Writing, and Coaching.
Doug endeavors to encourage, motivate, and empower others to make lasting and
positive changes in their lives. He brings to the table extensive real-life experience and invaluable lessons he has
learned through overcoming mistakes and difficulties in life. Adversity has
attuned Doug to a profound awareness and respect for the human condition, and
this is exactly what he focuses on—helping people get past themselves and the
things that hold them back. His Vision and Life's Work is:
"To
empower the human spirit by helping others to overcome self-limiting mindsets
and behaviors, thereby finding more meaning, success and happiness in life and
career."
Doug
finds his soul mate and best friend in Tracy Kelley. She is an equal partner in
Kelley Training Systems, Inc., and collaborates on everything Doug writes. She
has been the inspiration for many of Doug's ideas and concepts in nonalcoholic
recovery.
